Make sure you check which station you are leaving from to ensure you have time to get to the appropriate entrance.
Travelling within València
València is city designed to be walked around. The centre of the city - the old town - is a pleasure to traverse on foot, taking just 20 minutes from one side to another. The old town accepts cars, but don’t expect your taxi driver to drive through the centre - the narrow cobbled streets are hard to navigate and packed with tourists and locals on foot.
Metrovalencia & EMT Valencia City Buses
These two networks of metro trains, trams and buses connect the city center with outer neighborhoods, the beach, airport, and key cultural spots. This is a safe, efficient and affordable way to navigate the city.
Operating Hours: Approx. 5:30 AM – 11:30 PM (with some extended weekend service and night buses)
Ticket: Get a “SUMA 10 Card” which gives you 10 journeys for just 8€ on any public transport types (metro, bus, and local trains)
Taxi
Availability: Widely available and safe; can be hailed on the street or booked via phone/app
Fare: ~€1.65–€2.15 depending on time/day, and then ~€1.10–€1.20 per kilometre
Apps: User FREE NOW for local taxis, and Cabify or Uber for private hire
Tips: Local taxis in Valencia are white with a green light on top. Fares increase slightly at night, on weekends, and during holidays
Valenbisi (Bike-Sharing Service)
Overview: This bike sharing service is designed for both locals and residents and boasts over 270 stations around the city.
Subscription: Your only option as a non-resident is to purchase a 7-day pass for €13.30, which will also include a 150€ security deposit (which is only charged if necessary). Sign up here on the Valenbisi app
Journeys: You get 30-mins included in your package for each journey, but if you go over that time you will get charged extra. But don’t worry - you can just return you bike and grab another one to continue your journey.
Ideal for: Park rides, sightseeing, and getting around compact neighborhoods
